The Acrylic Collective Story

Founded in 2021, Acrylic Collective began with a clear purpose: to create premium acrylic display cases for serious collectors. What started with Japanese Booster Box Displays on Amazon grew into a brand centered around protection, presentation, and the experience of collecting at a higher level.

As the collector community evolved, so did we. Acrylic Collective expanded beyond Amazon into platforms like Etsy, and from there into the vending and retail scene, bringing our products directly into the spaces where collectors discover, trade, and build their collections.

Today, Acrylic Collective is more than display protection. Alongside our acrylic cases, we have also branched into an elite graded card marketplace, helping collectors build more refined collections with standout pieces worthy of display.

We serve collectors who care about the details: Those who value clean presentation, strong protection, and a collection that reflects both rarity and taste. From sealed products to graded grails, our goal is to help elevate the way collectibles are protected, displayed, and appreciated.

Acrylic Collective was founded by Jonathan Langenstroer, a longtime Pokémon fan whose love for the hobby started during the Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum era of the TCG, with Pokémon Platinum as his favorite game and HGSS Unleashed as his favorite set. His favorite Pokémon is Ditto, the ultimate trickster Pokémon.

That passion eventually became Acrylic Collective, a brand created to give serious collectors a better way to protect and display the pieces they care about most. Built from the perspective of a collector, Acrylic Collective reflects Jonathan’s belief that premium collectibles deserve both strong protection and a presentation worthy of their value.

Outside the hobby, Jonathan is a pharmaceutical chemist and studied in the PharmTox program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His background in science influences the precision and care behind the brand, helping shape Acrylic Collective into a company focused on precision, quality, and innovation in design.
